    When they started up the Champions, making sure there were many money making yet tedious games to come before the juicy ones, the KNOCKOUT games, along came irony. The European Cup sounds a welcome to all Competition, whereas the Champions League seemed to define.....CHampions. Hmmm, thats a bit confusing aint it?

    So along comes UEFA, "hey big boys you can have TWO teams in the Champions League."

    Frankly, ITV's FA Cup coverage is shocking enough but last night took the biscuit.
    
    Cutting away from the final 2 minutes for an ad break is bad enough, but then offering no explanation or apology just shows arrogance.
    
    Not only that, but on the FA Cup highlights show afterwards, they then showed extended highlights of.... Everton v Liverpool, a match not exactly packed with incident that most viewers had already seen.

    .. Rejoining the game after Gosling had scored was more than a little disappointing, given the attritional 118 minutes of football that had gone before it.

    ITV must be aware that many are very cynical about the FA Cup being on ITV because it is a commercial station, so this really rubs it in your face, mistake or otherwise.

    I hope when the Champions League resumes next month, ITV will start putting the team line-ups on screen immediately prior to kick-off (as has been the case with all channels since live football began!).

     

    I don't watch the 'pre-amble' before matches on ITV, as I find Steve Rider and your pundits excruciatingly dull and am a bit fed up of searching the internet for the line-ups!

    Can someone please explain to me why after watching ITV's Live match Southend vs Chelsea, I am now watching the highlights show, and it is the main game? Surely it should be going on last, as the main live show finished 45 minutes before the highlights show. Poor effort.
