ill be absolutely delighted if the old firm leave the spl,for years celtic and rangers have sucked the life out of scottish football, stealing other teams players for pittance and that stops any competition against them which is hard enough without them stealing the best players from every team, the bile sectarian chants brings shame to scottish football and all decent football loving supporters,so i for one will gladly wave goodbye to the scum from the west,so dont let me down english premier

I watched just the extra-time of the European Super Cup and saw 2 blatant dives. One of which was given

A yellow card but no comment from the watching Platini or any of the other UEFA dignitaries.

107' Pedro takes his turn to hit the deck inside the penalty area, and this time the referee is decisive  - he pulls out a yellow card for the dive!

116' Luiz Adriano's strike is blocked by Puyol and Jadson goes down inside the box... NO PENALTY

I am so for this to happen, it has increased my love of cricket and rugby. Even when the ref/umpire gets it wrong, it increases your perception of how hard it is for them to make the decision and in some cases you can see how they got it wrong or right.

At least you know they have made their best effort as they won't want to be embarrassed by too many dodgy decisions. Another point is it would definitely help to prevent any corruption of one lone person as too many people would be involved. I can't

  • Eduardo Penalty

    • From: suiedoll
    • Description:

Eduardo Dived. Plain and simple. DIVE DIVE DIVE. I've totally lost my respect for arsenal. That was a complete and utter disgrace. Over both matches, players have fallen to the ground, with the touch of a feather. Some players don't even need a touch. They just like to fall. Complete Joke.

If it wasn't a penalty, then why wasn't Boruc booked, as Goalies and players are for bringing a player down in the box. Why was some channels not even showing the 'penalty'. Big teams always get protected.

I'm watching the 2nd leg live on tv and I was very disappointed with the commentator's lack of conviction in condemning Eduardo's disgraceful dive to win the penalty.  I'm glad to say Jim Beglin rightly castigated Eduardo for it but even after a couple of replays the commentator was still asking 'well, what do you think at home' when it was a blatant attempt to cheat the referee.

I watch a lot of football and would probably go as far to say that about 85% of all penalties that are aw

I think on Wednesday the first goal changed things beyond belief. We were comfortable and in control but with their first attack they were more precise than we were all night and....... BANG! Done, and then you're chasing the game. Against a side who keep the ball better than any other in world football.

The goal was perfect for them and because we then started chasing the game we played right into their hands.

People have criticised Fergusons tactics and maybe he did get it wrong but le

I am a Newcastle United fan so the competition is rarely a chance for my team to do well, but nevertheless, I love the famous old trophy and the competition itself. There is this aura about it. The oldest football tournament in the world going back to the 1871-2 season when Wanderers won it.

I love the drama, the David vs Goliath encounters, the heroes and the villains. It has romance, drama and excitement and there is always a great story or two every year.

This year I am happy to see Everto

Last night's commentary was just shocking !  I was fully expecting an anti-Chelsea bias (after all it wasn't much better in the final last year), but last night ITV excelled themselves.  I thought Jim Beglin was actually the fairest commentator there if you take Joe Cole out of the equation.  Andy Townsend still hasn't forgiven us for booing him every time he returned to the Bridge after leaving and obviously never will.  But Clive Tildsley needs to be replaced; his commentary was so

Clearly an amazing game of football, especially for the neutrals and obviously the chelsea fans, but i have never witnessed such a biased commentary. Every reference was made towards how amazing Liverpool were, how well they done in Istanbul, and could they do it with out the amazing Gerard. No mention of Hiddinks substitution at 2-0 down, chelseas 5th semi in 6 years, or of course the fact they were playing without the mildly average John Terry!!!!! Totally agree with you Blinkers.  I thought it was just me, but now I`m convinced that Heskey & SWP were targeted, as they were hacked down nearly everytime they had the ball.  It doesn`t help when the so-called expert punditry of Andy Townsend says, " Why didn`t Heskey stay on his feet?".

I`ll tell you why Mr T, coz he was shoved over, again!!

And if that isn`t bad enough we have to endure that rambling idiot Pleat as co-commontator.  This bloke is so awful & full of s

Once again I am forced to watch an England side beaten by a European side whose solution to stopping attacks is to cut down the player, and go unpenalised. Time after time this sub standard side of over acting pre madonnas committed foul after foul.

To compound matters the commentary team on ITV (who are obvioulsy of Spanish blood) heaped praise on the home side for their display. Both goals given superlatives way beyond what they deserved.

Yes Spain are European Champions, but they are not t

Maybe you should concentrate on less gimmicky slogans and boasts about what you're trying to do, spend less on second rate dull pr

      Good programme.  Poor start!

The first comments made on your first FA cup match on Saturday (late kick off), was to start giving all the previous results earlier that day.  Big mistake!

What about all those  supporters who like to enjoy the highlights programme later without knowing the score?  BBC and Sky don't do that. If you feel that you must, to fill in the long lead time to kick off, at least give a warning to turn down the sound or look away.
