think i must have been watchin a different game ENGLAND WERE PLAIN AS PLAIN AS THAT
I think you must be watching a different game to me...Rooney looks isolated...Bent has'nt had a kick...and someone please tell me why wright phillips continues to get picked...hes the worst England player EVER!!...OR THE LUCKIEST
anyone watching this game so far so good and with key absenses we are looking strong
Money talks and ITV are very small fish when it comes to negotiating the match coverage. It is utterly pathetic that a UK national broadcaster can only afford to show 1 game per week out of the potential numerous matches.
We all had to suffer watching that dire Liverpool match because of this, whilst Arsenal and Rangers were playing much more attractive games.
Just watching the Europa League game between SSK and Fulham. Is it just my TV or is anyone else finding that the display of the time and score continually blocking the view of play?

It would appear that ITV football commentators are watching a completely different game to us. Quick to criticise players except when they play for England. If someone cheats then say that - if we went and looked at every penalty last season how many would actually be ? If Rooney cheats then say so - be honest. There are far more important things in life than football and perhaps they deserve better than overpaid footballers and commentators allowing cheating.
Do any of you on this forum play football?
I blame the TV commentary for winding everyone up by showing countless replays in superslowmo from every angle under the sun. If the Ref can't use the TV then stop showing it on the telly. Respect for the the Ref would be to trust his decission and that is final. No matter how we all moan, what's done is done.
Ban the TV from undermining the Ref with replays from every posible angle.
Better still get off your couches and go watch the game in th
No doubt it was not a penalty last night but i take excpetion to the biased views, they are never balanced! Kenny Dalglish blames foreign players yet he only has to look at his own club captain Steven Gerrard to see how many times he dives, in fact did he not see the CL game V Aletico last season?
I also don't recall ITV going on & on about that one or indeed the Babel dive against Arsenal in the CL a couple of years back. Both, incidently, critical decisions not one that made no difference to
I am so for this to happen, it has increased my love of cricket and rugby. Even when the ref/umpire gets it wrong, it increases your perception of how hard it is for them to make the decision and in some cases you can see how they got it wrong or right.
At least you know they have made their best effort as they won't want to be embarrassed by too many dodgy decisions. Another point is it would definitely help to prevent any corruption of one lone person as too many people would be involved. I can't
Why is football (not only in UK but Internationally) so against TV/video evidence?
Is the game game so corrupt with all the money involved that something/someone could be exposed?
Over recent years there has been so much protection towards the players there is hardly any physical tackling involved between players, it could be argued that the game is becoming more technical and obviously faster that it needs some help, particularly against cheats!
I raised the subject on talk sport a num
3rd eye is definitely needed, but the culture is all wrong in football when serial divers are rewarded by some player of the year accolade such as Drogba and Ronaldo in the past. These awards should be awarded based on real fair play and if Eduardo had been found guilty by an almost foolproof method such as hawkeye and snicker in cricket, I would be the first to condemn his actions. After seeing some more replays after the game, I'm not so sure. But still thought one of Boruc's legs catch him.
I think on Wednesday the first goal changed things beyond belief. We were comfortable and in control but with their first attack they were more precise than we were all night and....... BANG! Done, and then you're chasing the game. Against a side who keep the ball better than any other in world football.
The goal was perfect for them and because we then started chasing the game we played right into their hands.
People have criticised Fergusons tactics and maybe he did get it wrong but le
I feel that after about 9 minutes tonight, United thought "oh this is going to be easy, but we must make it interesting, give them a goal, & "we" could get it back as usual. But Barca given the opportunity will just play keep ball. United chased the game but couldn't do it again, you cannot give teams like Barca an inch - thery'll take mile. Once in front, that was it, wasn't it!
Who played well tonight? no-one really, after the first 10 min
Cradle, I was not attacking Arsenal or questioning Wenger. I ewas supporting them. Hence my comments on Wengers annual acts of genius. Read my posts again.
I was attacking their board. Wenger has been left high and dry? Have you not read the minutes of that meeting? Have you not been made aware of how these fans questioned his judgement, transfer policy and then the board, Hill-Wood aside, sat back and let him take all the flack without so much as standing up for
The game in this country tuned into a professional sport in 1961, the only part that still needs to change is the refs.
Most refs still do two jobs although they don't have to, the money they get paid in a week for being a ref is a lot better than most get in a month.
It's time now for the league to restructure the refs association and bring in full time refs, they need,, just like players to have the time to analyse their performance, and work on fitness and other related football matters, i
Wouldn't have been seen in Manchester by any chance Harry?
I suspect that might happen. When Chelsea got bought out by Roman replica Chelsea shirts started turning up everywhere. I've also noticed that some City shirts are doing the rounds as well, on people that I've never noticed supporting them before.
Arsenal shirts started doing the rounds abvout 5 years ago when there was all that (admittedly deserved) furore about them playing the best football in the world.
Saying that, I'm not sure how many people would go as low as 'Boro......
Don't be silly, it's not worth topping yourself over the price of a new Barcelona shirt.
I sometimes wonder how far it would go. If Boro suddenly and inexplicably won the league would the East End suddenly be awash with replica Boro shirts?
A couple of years ago I'd have said no, because Boro aren't a 'fashionable' team and a freak league title win wouldn't change that - but then we had Chelsea.
