You are having a laugh! SWP the worst England player ever? Are you forgetting that Wes Brown is also playing? He wouldn't even make it into my local pub team, how the hell he gets picked for MU let alone England is beyond me.
SWP has to play, when Ian Wright is on the telly, it's great watching Ian trying to put a positive spin when SWP plays badly, but even funnier when Ian gets over excited when he plays well.
Only Rooney and Milner look interested.
Bent wasn't given a chance. (Reminds me of another Sunderland striker Kevin Phillips who didn't get passed too when he was given his England shirt)
Jenas is rubbish. But then he always was.
Wes Brown is totally out of it doesn't look fit. I just knew they would score from his side. My wife could run past him.
Lescott isn't good enough for the Prem never mind England.
Foster is the worst England keeper I have seen for years.
OMG i know totally football is totally omg and i love it. Like yeah. So waine runey- shrek huh?
and david becks and micheal owen. I totally love them and shizzel. You know?
ill be absolutely delighted if the old firm leave the spl,for years celtic and rangers have sucked the life out of scottish football, stealing other teams players for pittance and that stops any competition against them which is hard enough without them stealing the best players from every team, the bile sectarian chants brings shame to scottish football and all decent football loving supporters,so i for one will gladly wave goodbye to the scum from the west,so dont let me down english premier
Id rather go to the pub and watch it on sky than watch any games on ITV , their coverage is always poor.
Fifa and the FA should just give it to the BBC
ITV have always had poor coverage for football , id rather pay for sky tahn watch it on ITV. their pundits are always poor and the commentators are even worse. Andy townsend is their only saving grace.
The BBC treat the premiership and the FA cup as the national sporting events that they are , not as an excuse for advertising.
I cant belive ITV have the web rights for the FA cup highlights. having to watch 30 seconds of adverts for 30 seconds of highlights is a disgrace. As a Northampton town
The strange thing about the shadow, is that when Wembley was built, the architect, Lord Foster claimed that it had been designed in such a way that none of the pitch would be in shadow! What happened to that claim?
As a spurs supporter and AS I am of Portuguese origin am a FC PORTO supporter which for those who do not know BOBBY ROBSON coached and started the uprising of portos domination of the portuguese leauge leading to 5 consecutive titles and then Jose Mouriho who won UEFA and CHAMPIONS LEAGUE Harry is on the right track with spurs I see the same thing happening again
I know ITV need revenue from advertising, but is it just me that finds the Sony Heart, shown at every break during football, so ugly, so grotesque. It puts me off buying any Sony product and personally think its the emost misconceived piece of advertising i have ever seen. It's had the total opposite affect on me as Sony would have wanted. Team Sony - Shocking! Anyone else think the same?
There are many ways of judging if a club is big or not and most of them change from season to season, however i will concentrate on one factor that hasn't changed about my club city over the last few decades, and that is our huge fan base, 28000 in the 3rd division and now 47000 plus most games at Eastlands, yeah i know 5000 of them have now turned up suddenly the money and potential for success is finally back but all clubs have 'glory hunters'.
Money talks and ITV are very small fish when it comes to negotiating the match coverage. It is utterly pathetic that a UK national broadcaster can only afford to show 1 game per week out of the potential numerous matches.
We all had to suffer watching that dire Liverpool match because of this, whilst Arsenal and Rangers were playing much more attractive games.
You make a good point and I have read some really dull ones but Cloughie's Autobiography was a belter.
It was fascinating getting an insight into "ole bigead" and the relationship he had with Peter Taylor and a few of his main players.
Alex Ferguson's book was pretty good as well.
Roy Keane's was absolute rubbish, unreadable and the guy is an idiot.
I have also tried and utterly failed to read "The Damned Utd" - I found the style unreadable and tedious.
I tend to agree with you on that subject and another point worth mentioning is the electrified flashing advertising signs which are an ever increasing problem for viewers.
Just watching the Europa League game between SSK and Fulham. Is it just my TV or is anyone else finding that the display of the time and score continually blocking the view of play?
Pete
I watched just the extra-time of the European Super Cup and saw 2 blatant dives. One of which was given
A yellow card but no comment from the watching Platini or any of the other UEFA dignitaries.
107' Pedro takes his turn to hit the deck inside the penalty area, and this time the referee is decisive - he pulls out a yellow card for the dive!
116' Luiz Adriano's strike is blocked by Puyol and Jadson goes down inside the box... NO PENALTY

Do any of you on this forum play football?
I blame the TV commentary for winding everyone up by showing countless replays in superslowmo from every angle under the sun. If the Ref can't use the TV then stop showing it on the telly. Respect for the the Ref would be to trust his decission and that is final. No matter how we all moan, what's done is done.
Ban the TV from undermining the Ref with replays from every posible angle.
Better still get off your couches and go watch the game in th
[endif]Has everyone forgotten about Ronaldo (step over step over fall over) "The Greatest Player Ever" NOT. He dived so often that it was considered perfectly OK.
Just remember that everyone is jealous of The Arsenal and there’s one rule for Arsenal and a different set of rules for the rest.
I am so for this to happen, it has increased my love of cricket and rugby. Even when the ref/umpire gets it wrong, it increases your perception of how hard it is for them to make the decision and in some cases you can see how they got it wrong or right.
At least you know they have made their best effort as they won't want to be embarrassed by too many dodgy decisions. Another point is it would definitely help to prevent any corruption of one lone person as too many people would be involved. I can't
I agree. If a player cheats, y not show them the evidence afterwards. The players and the managers. If its wrong, show them that we know and tat everyone who is watching, know they have done wrong. If a player is caught cheating, y aren't they punished for it? players are always getting away with cheating. By not punish them. Ban them, cause with the amount of money they get, what is the point of giving a fine. If u punish a cheater and let others know that if u cheat, u r going to get punished for your
What makes it so great is to see big teams embarrassed by one of the minnows, and then they go one to make some good money from gates which is a real windfall for these smaller clubs. Cardiff were great last season and I'm sure it helped their finances no end. Which teams might it be this year, giving the big boys a good slapping ? Any suggestions...
