Id rather go to the pub and watch it on sky than watch any games on ITV , their coverage is always poor.
Fifa and the FA should just give it to the BBC
ITV have always had poor coverage for football , id rather pay for sky tahn watch it on ITV. their pundits are always poor and the commentators are even worse. Andy townsend is their only saving grace.
The BBC treat the premiership and the FA cup as the national sporting events that they are , not as an excuse for advertising.
I cant belive ITV have the web rights for the FA cup highlights. having to watch 30 seconds of adverts for 30 seconds of highlights is a disgrace. As a Northampton town
I know ITV need revenue from advertising, but is it just me that finds the Sony Heart, shown at every break during football, so ugly, so grotesque. It puts me off buying any Sony product and personally think its the emost misconceived piece of advertising i have ever seen. It's had the total opposite affect on me as Sony would have wanted. Team Sony - Shocking! Anyone else think the same?
Money talks and ITV are very small fish when it comes to negotiating the match coverage. It is utterly pathetic that a UK national broadcaster can only afford to show 1 game per week out of the potential numerous matches.
We all had to suffer watching that dire Liverpool match because of this, whilst Arsenal and Rangers were playing much more attractive games.
Hello,
I always watch the live champions league matches that are live on ITV and am quite surprised that ITV have changed their live televised 'viewing' night to a Wednesday as of the 09-10 season and are only going to be showing one live match each matchday compared with the 2 of previous seasons!
It would appear that ITV football commentators are watching a completely different game to us. Quick to criticise players except when they play for England. If someone cheats then say that - if we went and looked at every penalty last season how many would actually be ? If Rooney cheats then say so - be honest. There are far more important things in life than football and perhaps they deserve better than overpaid footballers and commentators allowing cheating.
No doubt it was not a penalty last night but i take excpetion to the biased views, they are never balanced! Kenny Dalglish blames foreign players yet he only has to look at his own club captain Steven Gerrard to see how many times he dives, in fact did he not see the CL game V Aletico last season?
I also don't recall ITV going on & on about that one or indeed the Babel dive against Arsenal in the CL a couple of years back. Both, incidently, critical decisions not one that made no difference to
in all other sports when someone cheats the presenters nd the producers of the program take the stance of telling certain teams or asking certain players did they cheat, so y does itv and other tv producing channels ask players when they dive did they cheat or ask the managers after did they cheat, r y can they nt show the divers immediatley after the match with highlights and then again ask them r they cheats, if the tv presenters point blankly ask this question mite it not get ride of d
I'm watching the 2nd leg live on tv and I was very disappointed with the commentator's lack of conviction in condemning Eduardo's disgraceful dive to win the penalty. I'm glad to say Jim Beglin rightly castigated Eduardo for it but even after a couple of replays the commentator was still asking 'well, what do you think at home' when it was a blatant attempt to cheat the referee.
I watch a lot of football and would probably go as far to say that about 85% of all penalties that are aw
With the demise of the setanta tv channel , i was surprise that ITV did take up the slack of broadcasting live matches and other sports.
With the explosion of digital channels I thought Itv would use it's channels to broadcast more sport. and live coca cola league matches and coca cola cup matches.
and the bs premiership(conferance)
Two questions:
1) How many time is Steve Ryder and the team going to plug Britain's Got Talent?
2) How many badly timed adverts will we see this time?
Anyone else out there who can't wait for Maria to finally have this baby?
She looks like the side of house at the moment and she's the fittest one in it. I won't be watching again again until she's dropped itbv.
Poor form ITV, why not make Fizz or someone pregnant, no-one would notice if she got a bit fatter.
Boro are gone. Sad but true, I can't see how they can possibly come back from what happened on Monday.
Villa have been a bit cack recently but they still have players who can turn matches and I'd take them to grab at least a point against Boro.
My weekend treble:
Fulham, Arsenal, Chelsea
Oh btw. Has the ITV spy been made redundant now that his riveting section of the forum has been removed?
Hi Raging, thanks for getting back in touch.
At the moment we are going to leave the England board as it is - this is mainly because ITV hold the rights to England matches and we want people talking about matches that we show on TV and the website.
Sadly we don't broadcast Scotland games while our colleagues at STV cover the SPL and Scottish League. We could possibly reinstate the internationals board around the next lot of qualifying matches.
But I think we need to get b
Ho Ho Ho!
Yes very amusing thank you all for your kind words.
I agree pie and bovril is an excellent site but that is not the point here surely. I come on here to get a broader view and simply telling me to go elsewhere strikes me as a very narrow view.
Am I losing my mind or is ITV not a National Broadcaster? Surely you have a mandate to cater for the UK and not be parochial.
I seem to remember a minesterial report recently that lambasted both ITV and BBC for being too London cen
Thanks Mark, it's good at least to see ITV Football have reacted in this way, it's a positive show. To answer our friend from north of the border, why not simply rename 'England' to 'Internationals'. Adding more fora is not the solution.
Hi all
I've recently been put in charge of this forum so wanted to introduce myself and open up a dialogue with our (admittedly small number of) members to see how we can improve this place.
I've been monitoring the forum for a few days and it's obvious there are a number of issues you have and I'll try to deal with them here.
Firstly, the reason you were moved over from the previous 365 forum was because ITV has terminated their agreement with 365 and now produce their w
When are the ITV going to get a qualified TV commentator who doesn't talk so much rubbish. It is a shame he couldn't talk about the game and not the endless 'waffle' about yellow cards. It is pure drivel and he Has ruined (at least for me) a very entertaining game of football. Clive Tyldesley couldn't make a game of tiddly winks interesting so please take the chance at the end of the season and find a real professional commentator for next season, y
