I agree. It was great to see what the likes of Cardiff and Barnsley did in 2008. It would be nice to have a few giant-killings this year. Let's hope it starts with Paulton Rovers v Norwich this weekend!
As a spurs supporter and AS I am of Portuguese origin am a FC PORTO supporter which for those who do not know BOBBY ROBSON coached and started the uprising of portos domination of the portuguese leauge leading to 5 consecutive titles and then Jose Mouriho who won UEFA and CHAMPIONS LEAGUE Harry is on the right track with spurs I see the same thing happening again
No doubt it was not a penalty last night but i take excpetion to the biased views, they are never balanced! Kenny Dalglish blames foreign players yet he only has to look at his own club captain Steven Gerrard to see how many times he dives, in fact did he not see the CL game V Aletico last season?
I also don't recall ITV going on & on about that one or indeed the Babel dive against Arsenal in the CL a couple of years back. Both, incidently, critical decisions not one that made no difference to
I am so for this to happen, it has increased my love of cricket and rugby. Even when the ref/umpire gets it wrong, it increases your perception of how hard it is for them to make the decision and in some cases you can see how they got it wrong or right.
At least you know they have made their best effort as they won't want to be embarrassed by too many dodgy decisions. Another point is it would definitely help to prevent any corruption of one lone person as too many people would be involved. I can't
What makes it so great is to see big teams embarrassed by one of the minnows, and then they go one to make some good money from gates which is a real windfall for these smaller clubs. Cardiff were great last season and I'm sure it helped their finances no end. Which teams might it be this year, giving the big boys a good slapping ? Any suggestions...
I agree with the 3rd eye being needed. The penalty, well we've both got our opinions. We will need to see what the ref will say, if he will say anything.
I found it very amusing that the commentators decided that Wenger should take Eduardo to one side tomorrow and tell him off for "supposedly diving", the camera angles were not that good to definitely prove that, but they decided he must be guilty. No one likes cheating, but I could clearly see Boruc's left leg hit eduardo while he was off balance. I think the penalty was 50-50 (my opinion) but I didn't see the referee's view which was also at full speed. Eduardo will be watched carefully by future refere
Can anybody tell me what happened in this afternoons match ( I know Chelsea won) but it would have been nice to see how they did it without having to continually screw up my eyes to try and make out what was happening in the dark!!!. Surely the floodlights could have been powered up to boost the lighting, the t.v cameras just couldn't cope with the contrast, it's just not good enough for such coverage on a world stage.
Two questions:
1) How many time is Steve Ryder and the team going to plug Britain's Got Talent?
2) How many badly timed adverts will we see this time?
Gutted for you Robbso, very sad to see hard working honest well run clubs go like that. Sad for West Brom too.
Afternoon all
Firstly, apologies if anyone followed my weekend treble idea think I got one out of three. Utterly shocking!
As for Boro, think they could get something at West Ham who have nothing to play for but reckon it will be too late. Can't see Hull getting anything against United but neither will Newcastle get a point against Villa. Bottom three - WBA, Boro & Newcastle
The game in this country tuned into a professional sport in 1961, the only part that still needs to change is the refs.
Most refs still do two jobs although they don't have to, the money they get paid in a week for being a ref is a lot better than most get in a month.
It's time now for the league to restructure the refs association and bring in full time refs, they need,, just like players to have the time to analyse their performance, and work on fitness and other related football matters, i
Boro are gone. Sad but true, I can't see how they can possibly come back from what happened on Monday.
Villa have been a bit cack recently but they still have players who can turn matches and I'd take them to grab at least a point against Boro.
My weekend treble:
Fulham, Arsenal, Chelsea
Oh btw. Has the ITV spy been made redundant now that his riveting section of the forum has been removed?
Thanks Mark, it's good at least to see ITV Football have reacted in this way, it's a positive show. To answer our friend from north of the border, why not simply rename 'England' to 'Internationals'. Adding more fora is not the solution.
thanks for the clarity but this is just typical, at the risk of being labelled a moanin Jock I see once again you have overlooked us.
Can you please explain to me why the SPL or indeed the SFL are not given a discussion board, even if you just titled it SCOTLAND and let us discuss all matters concerning Scottish football I would be happy.
I find it incredible that you have a board for England and nothing for Scotland or Wales or N Ireland to discuss their International prospects.
I
Hi all
I've recently been put in charge of this forum so wanted to introduce myself and open up a dialogue with our (admittedly small number of) members to see how we can improve this place.
I've been monitoring the forum for a few days and it's obvious there are a number of issues you have and I'll try to deal with them here.
Firstly, the reason you were moved over from the previous 365 forum was because ITV has terminated their agreement with 365 and now produce their w
Well, I posted a reply the other day (admittedly a sarcastic one) and it's been deleted so we know someone is reading our posts even if they don't let on.........
Really disappointed here. If things don't improve soon I'm off to find somewhere else. I don't see any attraction in a board where numbers are so low, the options are so limited and the mods ignore everything you ask of them - except a handful of sarcastic posts which hurt their little ego's.

So, 9 months on and after a tonking by Man Utd and Chelsea, how do you think you'll get on next season?
I'll pop back in Feb and see what you replied with.
Point 1 - simply not true (unless you mean won more cups than anyone else in 1968)
Point 2 - West Brom were not in the PL in 2003/04
Your team this season has to be admired for sticking to principles in the face of relegation, but seriously lacks a goalscorer. Beat Liverpool and Blackburn though and we'll see you next season!
